Edward White is referred to as "a distinguished soldier of the Revolutionary War," on page 35 in the book entitled "John White of Muddy River," Brookline Historical Publication Society, 1897.
Edward White (1758-1812) was ensign in the Massachusetts Continental line 1777. Transferred as lieutenant and was with the celebrated company of Light Infantry at Yorktown under Lafayette which was complimented by Washington. He was born in Brookline, Mass.; died in
Savannah, Ga.
