Sadie Bell Taylor Ray, 90, a former employee with Oneita Knitting Mills, died Friday at her residence. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Black River Original Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, will be in Piney Forest Cemetery.
Mrs. Ray was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of William C. Taylor and Oshana Browder Taylor. She was a member of Black River Original Free Will Baptist Church. She was the widow of John C. Ray.
Surviving are four sons, J. Leo Ray and D. Legrand Ray, both of Andrews, Elbert Ray of Georgetown and J.C. Ray of Bonneau; two daughters, Retha Mae R. Watford and Edith R. Cooper, both of Andrews; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
