Although her memorial says she was born in 1895, Frieda was actually born in 1891 in Denver. Her father was Augustus Winters Terry. Her parents were divorced that same year. In 1894 in Denver, her mother married Dr. Henry Highland Nast and the family moved to California sometime before the 1900 census where she is listed as Frieda Nast, aged 9. On 22 Sep 1908 as Frieda Terry, she married Daniel Webster Gill of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was prominent in Cheyenne and much older than Freida. On 22 Aug 1913 in Los Angeles, Frieda next married Dr. William Roscoe Jacobs, a physician. They had two children, Virginia Mildred (1916-1986) and William R. Jacobs (1920-?). Dr. Jacobs died 20 May 1934. In the 1940 census, Freida was living with her son William.
