They were one of the Ashworth family farm families scattered along Ashworth Road on the Rural Route NW out of Valley Junction. (West Des Moines). Paul P. was a machinist and foreman of the Valley Junction Railroad Roundhouse. In later years one of their children farmed the place until it was sold in 1954 when their son, my stepfather, Paul Albert Miller became ill.
