The former Erna Kasper was born March 2, 1899, in the town of Rantoul, Calumet County, the daughter of William and Marie Menke Kasper. She was a graduate of Kiel High School in 1918, and was employed at AA Laun Furniture Co., Kiel, for six years. She married Melvin Timm on Dec. 26, 1925 in Kiel where the couple lived.
Mr. Timm died in 1972.
Mrs. Timm was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kiel, the Presbyterian’s
Women’s Club, the Miriam Circle, the church choir, Kasper-Bechley-Wilkens American Legion Post 99 Auxiliary, the Order of Eastern Star Lodge 281, and the Kiel Historical Society.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at First Presbyterian Church in Kiel, with the Rev. Joe V.
Anderson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
