She was born April 18, 1920, in Pandora to Alvan and Mary Lora Basinger. She married Larry Barre, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barre was a homemaker. She had attended Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora and sang in the Fresno Women's Chorus.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Brian) Tait, of Shanghai, China; a son, Ronald Barre, of Taft, Calif.; a brother, Roger (Jan) Basinger, of Pandora; and four sisters, Myra West and Donna Kacerek, both of Ventura, Calif., Carris Veazey, of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Marjorie Geiger, of Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Naden Basinger.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. Burial of the cremains will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mennonite Memorial Home.
