WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Lois Marie Hunter, 88, will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating assisted by Rev. Kelly Gray and Rev. Johnny Reed. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She passed away at her residence in Whitesboro, Texas on February 6, 2012. Lois was born on March 23, 1923 to Chesley and Nettie (Ridinger) Roberts in Sherman, Texas. She married Bill Hunter in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1944. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Texas where she was a Sunday school teacher. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior. She is survived by her son, Michael C. Hunter, of Whitesboro, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hunter; her son, Matthew Hunter; her parents, Chesley and Nettie Roberts; and sixteen siblings.
Lois Marie Roberts married Bill Humphrey Hunter on January 20, 1944. She was the mother of Matthew Walter and Michael Chesley Hunter.
