At the time of his death, Matthew was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth, Texas, where his grandparents are buried. He was moved to Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas when his family moved to Grayson County. He lies beside his parents. There are two stones to mark his grave, the original and a new one that matches the rest of the family.
Matthew's grandfather Walter was the brother of my great grandmother Leona Humphrey Hunter Ramsey.
