Big Horn Resident Dies At His Home
Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from Champion's drawing room for Emil Benson of Big Horn, 76, who died at his home early this morning following a long illness.
Elder Earl Patton will officiate for the services and burial will be in the Big Horn Cemetery. Champion's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Benson was born June 26, 1886, in Sweden and came to this area from Golden, Colo., 53 years ago. He was married to Lora Hepp, who survives him, on April 30, 1917, in Buffalo.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Oscar; three daughters, Mrs. Cecil Garber, (Shella), Mrs. Merle Blair, (Phyllis) and Miss Karleen Benson, all of Big Horn; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Svan Benson of Sault Ste, Marie, Mich., and one sister, Tina Carlson of Chicago.
Mr. Benson was engaged in ranching at Big Horn throughout his residence here.
