Wesley Deem, 94 who has lived his entire life in the Slate Creek section of Wirt county, near the Slate postoffice, on Elizabeth Pike, died Wednesday morning at his home. He was one of the pioneer settlers of the Slate vicinity.

Mr. Deem's wife died 25 years ago. He leaves the following children: Perry and J. W., of Slate; S.A. Deem, of Rockland, Ohio; Andrew Deem of Pittsburgh, and L. C. Deem of Mount Hope, and T. C. Deem of Universal, Pa. A brother D. A. Deem, of Slate, also survives.

Funeral services are to be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. Bennett officiating. Burial will made at the Limestone Hill church, following services there.
