George C. Hoots, 89, of Winchester passed away early Saturday morning June 21, 2008 at Passavant Area Hospital. He was born November 19, 1918 near Winchester the son of the late James E. and Rose Ella Evans Hoots. He married Edith Alice McDade Dec. 5, 1940 in Bowling Green, MO.

Mr. Hoots attended Bloomfield school; he farmed in Scott County all his life. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, and hunting quail.
