Mrs. Marshall Hardman Called at Brokaw
Mrs. Marshall Hardman, 75, passed away Aug. 22, 1943 at Brokaw Hospital in Normal, IL. She had been a patient at the hospital for 3 1/2 weeks and had been in ill health the last 6 months.
Addie L. Hoover was born at Walkersville, W. Va., Sept 26, 1867, the daughter of George A. and Alice K. Hoover. She came to Lexington when a young lady where she had since resided.She was married to Marshall Hardman, June 27, 1897, south of Lexington. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Icie A. Leach, 3 sons, Hale, Clyde, and Olie, all of Lexington and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Mant McClain of Crawfordsville, W. Va., Mrs. Ella Brown of Bloomington, and 3 brothers, John J. of Walkersville, Harve, French Creek, W. Va. and Albert of Mt. Vernon. Her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hardman has been a life long member of the United Brethren church and always looked forward to be present each Sunday morning, if her health would permit. She was kind and patient all through her long illness.
