She was born August 31, 1906, at Randall Flats west of Troy, Idaho, the daughter of Roy C and Elmina Woodruff. The family moved to Moscow in 1911, and she attended schools there.
She married George Giese Dec 29, 1925, at Lewiston. They farmed near Juliaetta until 1964. A son, Bruce, now operates the farm. Mrs. Giese was a member of the Fix Ridge Woman's Club, the Veterans of Foreign War auxiliary, the Lutheran Woman's club at Juliaetta and Grace Lutheran Church at Lewiston.
Other survivors include a son, Bruce, Juliaetta; a daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn Polison, her mother, Mrs Elmina Woodruff, and two sisters, Mrs Bernice Perry and Mrs. Darlene Lane, all of Lewiston; three brothers, Patrick Woodruff, Lewiston, John Woodruff, Coeur d'Alene, and Paul Woodruff, Blythe, Calif, and five grandchildren. A fourth brother, Arthur Woodruff, preceded her in death.
