He lived in the Northwest most of his life and in Corgvalis for the past 20 years.
He married Gertrude Abigail Fox on April 23, 1927, in Lewis County, Idaho. They had been married for 71 years when she died on Oct. 23, 1998.
Mr. Woodruff was a logger and mill worker and, before retiring at age 55, was a construction foreman for the Job Corps. He had spent some time in Honduras with his son's family.
Mr. Woodruff enjoyed gardening and reflexology.
Surviving are his son, Richard Woodruff of Sun City West, AZ; brother Patrick of Lewiston, Idaho; sister Darlene Lane of Lewiston, Idaho; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His daughter, Donna Lopez preceded him in death.
There will be no service.
