Mrs. John K. Batman, 64, died unexpectedly Monday, 7:30 a.m. March 1, 1948, at her home after a brief illness. Mrs. Batman was the former Mary Mills, born November 11, 1884, to Silas and Margaret Walls Mills.
She married in English, July 1902 to John Kelly Batman. Mrs. Batman was a Democrat and a member of the Crawford County Council.
Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. William Glosson, of Marengo in charge.
Besides her husband, survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Susan Stoner, of French Lick, and a brother, Thomas Mills, of Vincennes.
Burial was in the Dillman Cemetery.
