Arnice D. "Doug" Cullifer, 85, of Lynn Haven, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in a local hospital.
Grandfather as he was lovingly called will be fondly remembered for his quiet humor and gentle kindness. He and his loving wife of 34 years spent many hours enjoying the peace and quiet of nature at their retreat in Morris, GA. Fishing was their special hobby and he could be counted on to conjure up a "fishtale" or two. Serving in WWII under General George Patton in the European Theater brought him great pride. He often said that he walked from Paris, France to Munich, Germany and it took him 3 years to get there. He was a charter member of the Lynn Haven Masonic Lodge and an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Lynn Haven.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Louise Cook and grandson, Craig Jeffcoat.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Cullifer of Lynn Haven, his daughters, Mary Louise Wooley of Ocala, FL, Barbara Ann Jeffcoat and husband, Shelton, Martha Jean Kirkland and husband, Hal, all of White City, FL, Mary Faith Bingham and husband, Frasier, of Tallahassee, FL, Carolyn Hart and husband, Eddie Sr., of Lynn Haven, and Inga Evans and husband, Gary, of Panama City., sixteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Cullifer will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven with Dr. Dan Mitchell officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Mark Wooley, Erik Buchanan, Brett Jeffcoat, Lennie Touchett, Hal Kirkland, Shelton Jeffcoat, and Harold Kirkland, are honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church, Lynn Haven, FL
