Robert married Mary Texanna Griffith March 18,1890 in Strawn, Palo Pinto County Texas while working on the Dalton Ranch. They had nine children. Lucy, William, Henrietta, Bessie, George, Grace, Martha, Asa and Monte.
He died about 1913 and rests in a unmarked grave, next to his son William on one side & Brother George, in a unmarked grave also, on the other.
