Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., March 11, 1963 at the Zion Methodist Church for Walter Arp, 60, who died Saturday morning at his home at Mendon.
The Rev. Lawrence Hern officiated, assisted by the Rev. Ray S. Tomlin.
Mr. Arp, a Mendon farmer, was the son of Adolph and Bertha Tietjens Arp, and spent his entire life in that community. He was an active member of the Zion Church.
On September 19, 1925, he was married to Grace Marie Brown, who survives. Other survivors include three children, Mrs. Deanie Joseph of Buckner, Darrell and Verl of Brunswick; six grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Herbert Arp of Mendon.
Burial was in the Newcomer Cemetery.
