UPPER SANDUSKY, OHIO MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1916

MRS. MATIAS STRASSER DIED SUNDAY NOON

Mrs. Mathias Strasser died at her home, on West Findlay Street, Sunday noon. Mrs. Strasser had been bedfast not quite a week. Sunday noon she suffered a stroke of apopley and death came suddenly.

Magdalene Courtad was born in Sandusky, Ohio May 11, 1956. She was the duagher of Martin and Eva Courtad. On Sept. 1, 1874, she was united in marriage with Mathias Strasser.

To this union nine children were born. Living are: Charles, at Nevada; Mrs. George Kraus, of this city; Sister Mary Ludwina, of Louisville, Ohio; George, of Catlin, North Dakota; James, of Newton, Wash.; Anthony and Hilda, at home; Mrs. Anthony Wagner, of Whites, Wash. He husband and the following brothers and sisters are also living: Charles and Michael Courtad, of Carey; Henry Courtad, of Cleveland; Frank Courtad, of Toledo; Anthony Courtad, of Norwalk, Joseph Courtad, of Lima; George Courtad, of Columbus; James and Albert Courtad, of this city; Mrs. Ellsworth Lowry of north of town; Mrs. Clinton andMrs. Harry Houser, of Upper Sandusky.

Mrs. Strasser was a member of the Catholic Church and of the Christian Mothers' Society. She was of womanly character and was beloved by a large circle of friends. The funeral arrangements have not been made.
