Daughter of Warnell C Polk (his damaged headstone transcription has middle initial "L", but my family records show "C")(1832-1882) & Irene Meyers. Ada was one of at least 8 known children born to Warnell and Irene.

Ada L Polk-Blackwell was the 1st wife of William Joseph Blackwell. They married December 15, 1885 in Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas and had at least one child before she died, being son: Joseph Vernon Blackwell (1886-1964) born 27 Dec 1886 and less than 2 years later Ada passed away.

Ada's husband, William Joseph Blackwell (1863-1946), is buried in Lockhart Cemetery next to his 2nd wife Etta Culp (Kolp?). He had at least two known children via his 2nd marriage.

One of Ada's siblings (brother), CALVIN WARNELL POLK, was part of the Posse that captured BILLY THE KID in New Mexico.

Ada's father, Warnell C Polk is buried in Old Prairie Lea Cemetery. The headstone is badly damaged/broken and death date cannot be read but her parents marriage date of Aug 19, 1852 and his baptized date are visible on the broken stone (both parents are most likely buried in Old Prairie Lea cemetery, but not verified and stone is reportedly broken to verify whether Warnell C (or L?) Polk and his wife (Irene) are both buried there or not).
