Services for Lula Fae Gray, 81, of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Park with the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gray died Wednesday afternoon, May 30, 2001, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

She was born June 3, 1919, in Elkhart to the late William Robert and Iciphenia Kennedy Bennett.

Mrs. Gray was a teller for 13 years for East Texas National Bank. She was a member of Harvey Woman's CLub, and St. Philip's Guild.

She was preceded in death by son, Philip "Bubba" Gray Jr., her twin brother, Fagan Bennett, and brothers, W.T. Bennett, Odell Bennett, and Eldridge Bennett; and sister, Dorris Bennett.

Mrs. Gray is survived by her husband, Philip Hemby Gray Sr. of Palestine; daughter, Phyllis Wier of Oakwood; sisters, Junie Rosson of Ennis, Adelle Trigg of Elkhart, and Doris Roquemore of Palestine; brother, Elwin Bennett of Lafayette, La.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Cole, Ken Yeast, Paul Elliott, Tommy Davis, Bill Green, Johnny Youngblood, Bill Brown, and John Riley Henson.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
