Originally from Williston, Mrs. Grubbs had made her home in Columbia the last 20 years. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church.
She was born September 20, 1878, the daughter of the late Robert and Winnie Ann Porter Boylston.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. El Frieda Grubbs Workman and Miss Marie Boylston Grubbs, both of Columbia; one son Winston Grubbs of Columbia, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be C. C. Mack, W. H. Moore, O. J. Gleaton, B. H. Garvin, J. J. Bolen and J. H. Hightower.
Honorary pallbearers will be W. O. Onley, W. Fred Brickle, Eddie Raymond, C. E. Cook, H. D. Brickle, H. H. Youngblood, and Thomas E. Hair.
