Helen Lucille Hiatt Acker, 29, died in a head-on collision early Sunday morning April 1, 1951 southwest of Albany, IN on Ind. 67 in Delaware Co., IN. She along with her husband, Charles R. Acker Jr., and two of her three children: Charles Edward, 7, and Constance Ann, 4, died of multiple injuries and shock. A daughter, Helen Carol Acker, 6, suffered from severe multiple fractures and shock and was in Ball Memorial Hospital, Munice.
Helen is survived by her mother, Mrs. Edward Hiatt of Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Norman Foster Jr. of Anderson; and a brother, Stanley Hiatt.
