"FRANKSTOWN - The remains of Merle Smith, the unfortunate young man who met an untimely death on the railroad in the Altoona yard on Saturday night, were brought here from his late home at Gallitzen Tuesday morning. The funeral cortege proceeded to the Methodist church where services were conducted by Rev. F.G. Sleep, after which interment was made in the Geeseytown cemetery."
