Mildred Louise Weathers, 80, of Port Aransas, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.

Mildred was born in Waco, Texas, to the late James and Connie Henry. On December 11, 1948, she married George P. Weathers of Waco, Texas, where they resided for over 55 years. Mildred retired from Montgomery Ward after working for the company for many years. She was an active member of the Waco Ladies Firefighter Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Mildred was devoted to God and her family. She enjoyed a good book and most recently started reading books on her iPad. She had an affection for nature and the outdoors including bird watching, gardening, and a nice stroll on the beach. Mildred cared for animals and was known to share a cookie or two with many of them. She loved sweets, the Dallas Cowboys, and Fox News.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years George P. Weathers; brothers, James Henry, Alfred Henry, Jake Henry; and sister, Pansy Henry.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wallace and husband, Bob, of Port Aransas; son, Paul Weathers and wife, Cindy, of Missouri City, Texas; granddaughters, Shannon Daniels, of Oklahoma City, OK, Kellye Mutzig and husband, Jody, of El Reno, Oklahoma, Mindy Mullen and husband, Brian, of Clemson, South Carolina, Christina Nazari and husband, Ivan, of Katy, Texas; great-grandchildren, Laci Daniels, Kenzi Mutzig, and Ethan Nazari; and brother, Robert Henry and wife, Pat, of Dallas; many other relatives and friends.
