MINNESOTA LAKE. - Retired Minnesota Lake implement dealer and mechanic Robert A. Mensing, 68, died Monday March 4, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mapleton, the Rev. Richard Salge officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Mapleton. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, Minnesota Lake, and one hour before services at the church Friday.

Mr. Mensing was born Dec. 5, 1922, in Mankato, to Fred and Lydia (Weber) Mensing. He graduated from Pemberton High School in 1940, and began work for Putz Bros. Implements in Minnesota Lake. He married Norma Wick at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mapleton, Jan. 29, 1947. He continued with Putz Bros. until 1966, when he purchased the business, which he continued to operate until he retired in 1990. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mapleton.

Mr. Mensing is survived by his wife; sons Charles and wife, Lola, of Shakopee, David and wife, Gina, of Goodhue, and Bobby of Minnesota Lake; brothers William and wife, Mary, and Lawrence and wife, Melva, all of Mapleton; a sister, Joyce Frederick of Wells; a sister-in-law, Ether Wick of Mapleton; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
