Edward J. Albatys 78, of Port Richey, Florida, died on Friday December 6, 1996. He was born in Housatonic, Massachusetts.
Edward retired from Pan American Airlines after nearly forty years of service. He was a 1938 graduate of Massachusetts Nautical School. He was a World War Two veteran of both the Merchant Marine and the U.S. Navy. Edward was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alexandra [Alice] Albatys, A sister, Josephine Karpinski, and a sister, Helen, who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, Lorena, a son Joseph Albatys, a daughter, Patricia Bowman, a brother, Zigmund M. Albatys and a granddaughter, Jessica Albatys.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bell Funeral Home.
