Funeral services were held today in Eugene for Hazel [Hazle] M. Willey, who passed away in Eugene Friday. The daughter of Milton R. and Louisa Lee, was born at Bandon, December 30, 1898. She was married to Charles L. Willey on March 15, [22] 1922. The made their first home in Eugene, moving to Corvallis in 1923 and lived here until 1952.
She was an active member in the First Christian Church, St. Mary's Chapter No. 9, O.E.S., Nydia Temple, Daughters of the Nile. She was an active Gray Lady and worked for the Red Cross and the Pearl Buck Home for Retarded Children.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. M. R. Lee, Portland; two sons, Dick of Elkton Jack of New York City; a daughter, Mrs. Don Acker, Spokane; two sisters, Mrs. John Comstock, Portland, Mrs. Earl Cruickshank, Myrtle Point; a step-sister, Mrs. Harold McCue, Bandon; and two step-brothers, Chester Lee, Portland, and Ernest Lee, Salem.
