LA CROSSE - Fred Rein Jr., 86, died Sept. 16,
1993, at St. Anthony Hospital, Hays.
He was born Dec. 12, 1906, at Saratov,
Russia, the son of Fred Sr. and Katie Bauer
Rein.
A former Bazine resident, he was
a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the United Methodist
Church, Bazine.
On June 16, 1929, he married Clara Stieben
at Bazine. She died Feb. 2,1979.
Survivors include: two sons, Valis, Abilene,
and Leland, Bazine; two daughters, Glendoris
Foos, Rush Center, and Genelda
Gumescheimer. Great Bend; a brother,
Edward, Bazine; a sister, Molly Moore,
Bazine; 22 grandchildren; and 36 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the
Methodist Church, Bazine, with the Rev.
Darrell Forrest presiding. Burial will be
in the Bazine Cemetery. Memorials may be
sent to the Rush County Nursing Home or the
United Methodist Church, both in
care of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
