Bales, Floyd Allen- age 66 passed away at the home on Saturday, March 23, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd W. Bales; mother, Pauline (Miss Polly) Bales; brothers, David Lynn and Ronald Joe Bales. Survived by dedicated and loving wife of 39 years, Anita Bowers Bales; brothers, Lawrence (Norma) Bales, Louisville, KY, Bobby (Sam) Bales, Bakerton, WV, Billy (Cheryl) Bales, Oliver Springs, TN; sisters, Christine (Larkey) Russell, Oliver Springs, TN, Carol (Danny) Walls, Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews; other very special family members. Allen was a veteran of the Vietnam era (U.S. Navy). He was also an avid VOL fan and loved traveling. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans, Attention: Gift Processing, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, Rev. David Tullock officiating. Family and friends will meet on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 9:30 am at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway for the interment.
