Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Wednesday, February 1, 1956:
  Mrs. Myrtle M. Baird, 58, of 242 South Fillmore street died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home after an illness for the past two and a half years.
  She was born Aug. 31, 1897 in St. Louis, a daughter of the late Everett and Clara Tesson DeMott. She was married at St. Louis in June of 1920 to Lesley S. Baird of Edwardsville, who survives.
  Mrs. Baird, a resident of this city for the past 35 years, was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Daughters of Isabella and Royal Neighbors of America, Ivy Camp 2091.
  Surviving in addition to the husband, is a son, Everett T. Baird of Edwardsville and a sister, Mrs. George (Florence) Zinselmeyer of St. Louis. One brother preceded her in death.
  Friends may call at the Lesley Marks funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Thursday until 8:30 a.m. Friday. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's church with the Rev. P.P. McGuinness officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
  Members of the Royal Neighbors will have a memorial service at the funeral home at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
