ROFF — Services for Vera Loreta Bratcher, 87, Roff, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel, Stratford, the Revs. David Sutton and Roger Gray officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery, Stratford.

Mrs. Bratcher died July 12, 2004, at Roff. She was born May 10, 1917 in Vanoss, to Ezra and Nettie Byars Hunt. She married Shortie Bratcher Oct. 27, 1936, in Sulphur. She was a homemaker and a member of Gaar Corner Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Nettie Hunt; one sister, Thelma Lehman; one brother, Marvin Hunt; and one great-grandson, Johnny Michael Stewart.

Survivors include her husband, Shortie Bratcher; two sons, Ronnie Bratcher and Donnie Bratcher, both of Roff; three daughters, Charlotte Wood, Mead, Norma Weatherman, Wylie, Texas, and Sandy Jantz, Yukon; three brothers, Floyd Hunt,
Ada, Dave Hunt, Fayetteville, N.C., and Kenneth Hunt, Ackworth, Ga.; six sisters, LaVelle Wallis, Marjorie Vandigriff, and June McCann, all of Ada, Sadle Daniels, Tulsa, Virginia Maxey, Red Oak, and Jean George, Hooks; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granchildren.

Bearers are Tony Walker, Paul Murphy, Bill Hooser, Roger Reeves, Joe Summers, Frankie Bolen, and Wayne Holland.
