Marjorie M. Vandegriff of Ada was born April 18, 1926, in Vanoss to Ezra and Nettie (Byers) Hunt.
She passed away Feb. 2, 2013, in McLoud at the age of 86 years, nine months and 14 days.
She lived in the Ada area most of her life. She was married to Tom Martin Oct. 11, 1943. After she was widowed, she married Norrell Vandegriff on Feb. 12, 1983. Mr. Vandegriff passed away Jan. 17, 2007.
She was a member of the Vanoss Demonstration Club and Pickett Community Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded by her parents; her husband's one daughter, Marian Wood; one son, Arlis (Al) Martin; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia McCauley and husband, Benton, of McLoud; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd Hunt of Center, David Hunt of North Carolina and Kenneth Hunt of Ada; four sisters, Lavelle Wallis of Ada, Virginia Maxey of Red Oak, Sadie Daniels of Tulsa and June McCann of Ada; one son-in-law Jimmy Wood of Altus; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Jane Martin of Ada.
Pallbearers: Grandsons and great-grandsons.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel Stratford. Officiating is the Rev. Larry Weatherman. Burial will be in Olustee on Thursday, Feb. 7. 2013
