The funeral of George W. Blakeman, whose death occurred the first of the week was held from his late home. Mr Blakeman had been confined to his bed although his health had not been good for some time. A week ago last Saturday who spent the day in Fulton with his niece Mrs F.A. Summerville. Mr. Blakeman lived in the vicinity his whole life, he was born within two miles of where his death took place. He was a well known and highly respected citizen of the town of Lysander, which town had honored him for a number of years with the offices of assessor and overseer of the poor. Deceased was 66 years of age and is survived by one daughter Mrs Carrie Smith. Also five sisters, Mrs Lola Cook, Mrs John Ouderkirk, Mrs JH Stewart, Mrs Cynthia Lampman, and Mrs William Butlers, and one brother Aaron Blakeman. Mrs Blakeman died four years ago. Burial made at Jacksonville.
