" My mother said that she (Meda Ann Rone) was a very precise prissy lady who always wanted to look nice. She was sick a long time and died with cancer."

" My Memories of my Grandmother MEDA ANN RONE BELT:
"We all heard stories of Grandmother. One of mine is about her percale dresses. She would not wear a percale dress to church after the dress had been washed.. so her children always planned to keep her in church clothes. It took 15 yards of percale to make her dress and bonnet... the brim of her sun bonnet had to be starched real stiff...But remember the percale in those days was 27 inches wide...and Sunday dresses had to be very long and very full.
My fondest memory of Grandma was her love of coffee.. and her sitting in her chair and going to sleep... steaming gooseberries or shelling peas. I was 5 years old so she always had me sit by her and she fixed me coffee in her saucer... mostly milk and sugar..but I drank coffee with Grandma."
