Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm 64 years young; an ex serviceman who served 12 years in the Australian Regular Army, with no overseas service, in the foodstuffs and stores section in the Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps (RAAOC).
Upon my discharge I went out and mowed lawns in my local area for 15 years until an old Army problem emerged. I fell from the high-beam in the gym and injured my lower back and am now on DVA pension for the problem.
I live at Cleveland, in beautiful sunny Queensland in one the best and safest countries in the world - AUSTRALIA.
I took up military research about 30 years ago when I went to the National Archives (NAA) here in Brisbane and found they had the pay records of all Queensland service personnel who had served in World War 2 and beyond. Anyone can access records that over 30 years old.
So with the information I had on hand I began to compile a large database on these soldiers and when DVA put out their World War 2 Nominal Roll if gave me the information I required to carry on.
Presently I have a data base for all Queensland World War 2 personnel, Queensland Regular Army and National Servicemen whose records (registration and call-up papers) are held in the NAA in the state of Registration.
Here in Australia one has access to all types of information and files from the government websites.
There is an Archives Act of Parliament that over-rides all other Acts to make this information available to the Public.

RE: Frederick Annesley
Thank you for your offer of transferring Fred's grave over to me. At this stage I would rather not, it is something you have done and I am happy with that. Just a shock to see this particular photo of Fred on the net as I had not seen it before.
Again, thanks for caring.

Thankyou
Hi John, i just wanted to say thankyou for adding the photo to my great uncle Ralph L. Thompson's page. Until now, my family had no idea this page existed & its so great to know he was never forgotten & there's a place we can go to pay our respects. Ralph was my Nanna Lucy's baby brother, i remember her telling me the loss she felt when Ralphy was killed in battle in Korea.. & never came home. She lost her big brother Robert inn WW2 at sea & she said to lose Ralph too, was almost too much to bear. Thank you for adding The Royal Australian Regiment to his page. Its much appreciated.

Kind regards.. Holly Duncan :)

Hi John, it is showing with the correct orientation when I look at it on the iPad. I'll try to remove and re attach later today and see if that helps. Regards Janine

Hi John, I have added several photos that you requested. Unfortunately the settings on my camera left the quality less than I would like. I'll take some better pics next time I am out there to replace them. Good on you for the great work that you do.
Cheers, Lisa
