Hello Jerry and thank you for contacting me about blues man Willie Egan. At the time I wrote his bio after his death in 2004, there was an article in the LA Times which had an interview with his son Willie Egan Jr. In that he stated he would be interred in Evergreen Cemetery. If this was changed for any reason to he being at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Carson, wouldn't have known. If you have a photo of a marker plus know the location of such in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Carson, that would be great. I can get the cemetery changed on his famous entry but we must be sure it's correct. If all checks out, you can add his grave photo and the entry will be complete. Keep me posted on this and best always,
|Paul Rolfe||Wilma Segrave #157457096|
I have processed your edits. I do not know the Segrave family and only added this memorial to findagrave because it is the only Segrave in the four Walnut Hill Cemeteries. I thought someone somewhere may be looking for her. If you are related and want to manage the memorial, I will be happy to transfer it to you.

Interesting paradox. Key to solving the mystery is Roosevelt Memorial Park's record on Charlotte. Maybe the marker there is a memorial stone only; maybe not. Certainly it would be good to have clarification.
My information on her burial at Ivy Lawn came from the book referenced at memorial #144688525. When Pleasant Valley Cemetery was shut down, most of the remains were re-interred at Ivy Lawn ... which is not to say the book isn't in error regarding Charlotte. I'm leaning toward deleting my memorial but will hold off for now if you think Roosevelt can provide further info.
Thanks for the heads up on this, and I look forward to learning more. Nice to hear from you again; I'm used to hearing from you re my memorials in Hawaii only!

Your suggestion sounds like a good on to me. One of Emeline's daughters from her marriage to James Cary is buried in the plot with Horace. The name of James is from her daughter's death record in Elgin. I did not find James.

Hi Jerry! Glad you're on the mend. I probably made a mistake when typing in her memorial. Sometimes the computer "auto-fills" the previous entry so if I started typing "I" it may have filled in "Irene". Anyway I appreciate the extra info for her memorial.
Looks like we may be at Woodlawn again on the 27th. I hope you can make it again, but don't worry about it if you can't. I understand.
Hope to see you soon.

Thanks for the cemetery information. I have moved the memorial for Eleanor.
