We have been tracing our family trees for a number of decades. As part of that research, we have walked a number of cemeteries photographing the gravestones. Jim's genealogy centers on Mason County, WV and Elizabeth's family comes from the western New York area. |
ADDITIONS or CORRECTIONS
Please submit these with the "Suggest a Correction" link under the white "Edit" tab on the memorial page. If you are requesting a link, please include the memorial's ID number in the request.
The purpose of Find A Grave is to record burial locations, not build your family tree. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
If you wish to gather your family members, use the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. Many volunteers spend countless hours walking, photographing, and uploading memorials as a genealogical resource for everyone.
Requests for transfers outside the "Family First" policy will not be honored. (Note: "Family First" as defined by Find A Grave in the FAQs are direct relatives within four generations as siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren)
All the current policies on transfers can be found at "How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?" under the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left hand side of the page.
Photographs we have taken can be used on other websites or in printed materials ONLY if credit is given to Findagrave.com (including cemetery name) and credit is given to "Jim and Elizabeth" as photographers. Any images we have uploaded are copyrighted and are not free for the taking without proper credit.

Jim and Elizabeth, thanks so much for not only getting Millie's headstone photo but taking the time to photograph her parents Frank and Emma. That saves me requesting them later! :-) I hadn't gotten that far and now I'm ahead of the search!!
You are appreciated!

Wow, thanks for catching that one! Never knew that would be given as a first name!
I just wanted to let you know after I accepted a change on Rabbi that you sent, I need to change it back. His first name indeed is Rabbi. There is a WV birth record online for Rabbi Leport, son of John and Frances Leport.
|Gene Spider||Thaler Family Descendants|
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into creating memorials for so many of my Thaler family aunts, uncles, and cousins. There is no way I'll ever make it to New York to do research and you saved me the trip by providing so many memorials and adding so much personal information to them. Great work!!! May God bless you and yours.
|Dulcie Verner Fusillo||Annis Munger Smith|
Found your photo on find a grave and wish to express my appreciation for your work. Would you by any chance have a transcription of the gravestone for Annis Smith in the Maxon Cemetery, Attica, NY dod 1850? Mem'l # 57328295.
Thank you for your time and efforts.

Firstly, thank you for all your work in photographing Greer Cemetery! I have visited Greer all my life and am very proud of my heritage. Over the years I took many photos, some of the stones are unreadable now. As you can see I am new to Find A Grave.
My sister is Lora Yank and she does family research. I have been working on connecting family members on the site. It is rewarding and Lora and I enjoy talking about it. If one has favorite ancestors, two of mine are John Thomas & Adeline Greer. We grew up with our grandmother, Opal Greer McDermitt, in our home. She often spoke of many of those now buried in Greer Cemetery.
I welcome a dialogue with you but I know you manage many sites. If you ever want to transfer any of those buried in Greer to me I would welcome that. Did you happen to see the "Google Earth" photo of the cemetery I posted?
We would enjoy seeing you at the Greer reunion this year. Thank you again for all your work in preserving the history of Mason Co. & Greer.
