I was born August 29, 1943 in Powell, Wyoming. I joined the US Navy in 1963 and spent 2 years in Southeast Asia in the Philippines and Vietnam. I then attended the U of Colorado for a year and a half under the NESEP program and was then transfered to Europe for 4 years, stationed at Rota, Spain. After that I was sent to Washington D.C. for 4 years. At that time I retired and attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, where I attained a BS in Mortuary Science. I owned and operated two funeral homes, one in Moline, Kansas, and the other in Sedan, Kansas, for 26 years. I retired from the business in 2001. I am currently residing in Wichita, Kansas, and am an accountant for Wal Mart Corp.
I am married, the father of two daughters. I have traced my ancestry back several centuries and am still in the process of chasing down my brickwalls.
As a former funeral director, I find cemeteries fascinating and love to contemplate past lives and histories of the families there.

I am more than happy to make corrections and add relationship links but am curtailing (not stopping) transferring memorials due to growing misunderstanding of what Find A Grave is about by those discovering the site for the first time. The time members have put into their efforts working together and sharing information is not up for grabs based on same-name surname or lineage and I will not do any of these type of transfers. | |

What an interesting and thought provoking statement you have presented concerning transfers. Everyone should read that and consider before asking for a transfer.
You have certainly invested a lot of time and effort. I am sure there are many who owe you a great deal of thanks.

Small world! I live in Elk County now and have found that you've started many memorials from our cemeteries here and lived here. We have family in Wichita as well and there's your name again on my husband's uncles grave!
I was wondering if you would mind linking Delbert Hollis (#14723931) to his father, Martin Hollis (#14297524) I'm trying to get everyone on that side hooked together but only maintain Martin's memorial at this point.
