Bio and Links
Bio Photo There is a great span of differing religious/ philosophical beliefs - - but I believe that the vast majority of us do believe in some life after death - some eternal nature of the soul.

I believe it was God who determined by divine design what family we were born in to.

And I believe that this union created by God - was meant to last beyond mortality.

I believe that families are eternal. And "what God has put together - let no man put asunder".

I believe there is eternal purpose in the family unit - and that its God given design reaches beyond this life and into the eternities.

Have any of you wondered what it will be like one day when we cross "The great divide" and make that step from this world to the next.

I believe that there we will meet many of our deceased ancestors and relatives. I guess one of the greatest family reunions yet to attend.

Will we recognize our ancestors on the other side? Will we have taken the time in this life to come to understand them and their contribution to who we are today? Many of them made great sacrifice to come to this country, to provide spiritual and religious and moral direction to their family. Many of them sacrificed much to overcome challenges, religious persecution, the difficulties of settling a new country or a new land. Many of them did all they could to make life better for those to come then it was for them. Many of them gave their all in the service of their country.

RE: John Sauls
Thanks Denise for your reply. The only problem is the one I had looking for it on Find-a-Grave in Lawrence Co and not thinking to look in Lincoln Co. The GPS for the cemetery is
31degrees 26.620N and 90degrees 14.605W
I will see if someone in the Lawrence Co courthouse can determine from the GPS in what county the cemetery lies. Will let you know.

Jake K. "Hooper" Stringer / Memorial# 34752088
Hi Denise, First, just want to say that I appreciate your hard work & diligence on your entries. I'm just double checking on this particular entry. You've listed infant JK Stringer's nickname as "Hooper". There is a Col. JK Stringer, USMC Ret., whose nickname is "Hoopy". He is alive and well and was born two years after the infant JK was born. Same parents, so I am guessing, since JK was father's name, he wanted a living namesake and they recycled the name. Not unusual, but could you let me know if the infant was nicknamed "Hooper" and they just gave Col. Stringer the nickname of "Hoopy" to distinguish between the two? Or just a coincidence?

Edgar Dumont
I found Edgar's death certificate. He died in a hospital in Brookhaven, MS from injuries received in a car wreck. He died 5 July 1933. He was an Army veteran of WWI.

His & Robert's information is from Military grave registrations in the State Archives.
