Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Name is Ronald A. Sykes, Sr, and have been working on my family History for over 40 years.

Any additional information, adding bio's, changing .or adding names, dates and location can be done, without asking me, by hitting the edit button.

With the new system of FaG, I OK the links, and changes, without question. However, this also means, I may or may not have linked or corrected memorials.

I am more than happy to any correct a problem, or link family members. As far as Transfer goes, please look at the rules set down by Find a Grave, before asking. I will take a look on a case to case basis, but normally follow those rules. Demands from, or rude people are always ignored. If you would like credit for something added, either put it in the bio section, or let me know and I will add it for you.

I normally make all requests within 24 hours. If not, don't worry, I will get to it. Sometimes, I take a day off, too.

AGAIN. I follow the rules of Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case to case bases. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.

You My permission to use any of my Headstone photo, for your personal use.

RE: Charles Crosby
If you can't get it back, I will take mine off and it should repopulate with the cemetery photo as far as I understand, unless I am just being brainless this morning, lol. I don't wish to undo any of your work. Thanks, sorry for the hassle to you.

Roxie Benton #84075484
I noted that you were the person that suggested the name & spousal link corrections to my above memorial so I'm hoping you can help me sort this out...
I have looked at 1900-1920 Census records for George Tilton & his wife is listed as Daisy or Daisy D on all three. Memorial #84075481 is for Daisy Dean Bright Benton & her stone looks just like George Tilton's. This Daisy's DOB match the Census ages of George's wife more closely than Roxie, who is 13 years older. Could she be the wife rather than Roxie? In addition, some online trees show Roxie as a second wife to George's father, Thomas Marion and a 1930 Census record in Simpson County seems to bear out that fact, listing a 59 yr old Roxie as the wife of an 81 yr old Thomas M.
Please advise as I'm sure your research is much more extensive than the few searches I have conducted. I just want to make sure I have the proper links for researchers and family members.

Thank you very much. I'm not sure this was the best way to send the bio or not but I really appreciate it.

Graham Griffin was my best friend for many years and am still neighbors with his widow and family. I would very much like to add a bio to his memorial. Can I send it to you and have you add it. Thanks.

Gumz family
Hi, I believe we may be related. I just found the beautiful memorial you put together a few years ago for my 3rd great grandmother Wilhelmina Gumz. I am her ggggranddaughter through her son Ernest (my 2nd great grandfather), his daughter Mildred (my great grandmother), her daughter Sandra (my Grammy) and finally her daughter Candace (my mom). Is there any chance that you would be willing to share what you've learned with a cousin(?) who is still a "green" genealogists? 😊 My grandma didn't know much about the Gumz history. In fact, she wasn't even sure of her grandmother's name. She always told me "they came from a time children were seen and not heard. It wasn't appropriate to ask personal questions and it wouldn't have been tolerated." Which makes me extremely eager to learn about this part of my family! If you'd like you can email me at

Thank you!

Andrew Fisk
I tried to find this stone and found a Fisk obelisk with the names John, Joseph, Jabez and his wife Catherine, and William but no Andrew.
