Bio

I was born in Southern, California, and lived there for most of my life. My great grand parents came to California in the early 1870’s, traveling the old fashion way, by wagon train. 
I was always interested in my grandparents, but although I was lucky enough to have all four of them nearby until I was an adult, I never got around to all of the questions that I wish I had asked. (sound familiar?)
I began to actively research my family tree in 1972, after all the kids left the nest, and it has been my favorite hobby now for more than forty years.
Along the way, I got so involved in my Tolle lineage that I started “The Tolle Family Exchange” newsletter. I put it out for 14 years, and received and shared data with many great distant cousins. I gave it up when my husband retired, and turned it over to another person, but sadly it died very quickly.
I have shared all of my Tolle data with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, consisting of 14 years of newsletters, 12 scrapbooks, biographies, indexes etc. Now anyone who is interested in Tolle’s can find it all on FamilySearch.
I am no longer able to get out much, or travel, like I once did, but in the past I have tramped through a lot of cemeteries. I have a large collection of tombstone photos, mostly Tolle. I hope to share many of them in the future.
My Great-Grandparents names are:
