Anytime. That was a very difficult cemetery to get pics. Lots of stones missing and very worn. I am sure that a lot have fallen over and are buried.

Thank~ you Mr Andii,
I thank~ you so much for letting me adopt
Both of my GG Grandparents. Appreciate it
very much. My Uncle Bob Mitchell, always told
Us Anna Mariah Mitchell was in the trees. Her headstone
looks new compared to the other ones. Is there any way to
Clean & preserve that type of stone? You all did a lot of
work cleaning the cemetery.
Thanks for the correction, don't want anyone to think the
wrong church was tore down. It does make since then. German Reformed Church. Don't quote me on this, the Bible
That was in the corner stone, I remember it being a German or
PA Dutch German Bible. My sister does not remember, unless we both remember something the same way I usually won't
put it on here unless we're 100% sure. Love the map.
Did you know or related to a "Maxwell Slick"
My dad spoke very highly of him.

|Donna Rae "Mitchell" Grimes||Ann Mariah Bowers Mitchell|
Thank~you for the updates on Ann Mariah,
The information came from my Uncle Robert Mitchell.
I see your history on you bio. The Evangelical Church
that used to be in the Cuppett Cemetery, in New Pars,
was torn down by my dad in the 1960's. Lewis Henry Mitchell,
He was a carpenter. He was able to keep the contents
Of the conner stone. Which contained a bible of the time.
The collection from the Sunday before they set the corner stone along with the Sunday Bulletin.
The lumber & foundation stones were repurposed.
He was hired by one of the Boyer's.

If you paid to have her stone reset then I don't think you got what you paid for. I'd have to go back to the cemetery to verify, but by all appearances the base in the photo is the old, cracked, original base and the stone was just cleaned and placed back into that base.
If you'd like, I can go back, move the broken bottom portion of the stone aside and photograph the base for you.
The photo was taken 10 Oct 2015 just fyi.

|Larry & Nancy Brooks||RE: Re: Abner Walker & son Benj./ Friends Cem.|
You are welcome. I (Nancy) am related to the Garretsons, Penrose, Blackburn. Josiah Garretson was my great-grandfather so we visited the Friends Cemetery among others when we were visiting relatives in Johnstown. I lived in 40 Mine until I was 10 years old- then my father moved us to Topeka, Kansas but I remember alot about Johnstown and did visit quite often. Now I am 80 years old so we don't travel as much.

|Becky Garretson Perigo||RE: Josiah P. Garretson #12921037|
You're welcome! Josiah is my GG Grandfather. As for the pocket watch, we have his diary from the war (most entries he was in the hospital) and he talks about his sisters and other relatives sending him hair so he could braid chains for watches. A little creepy but very cool.
