|Melody Roswell||Morse family of Traverse City, MI|
I loved your Bio! Today for some reason I finally decided to make contact with you. You seem knowledgeable of the area in which I am looking into at this time. I really need some help in locating a great aunt on my father's side with the maiden name of MORSE, her married name is or was Downs. Her and her husband and children (3) lived in Traverse City, MI for about 40 years total, so say the census anyway. Then the possibility of Robert and Effie Downs divorcing comes about I believe. I have snippets of newspaper articles of Effie and her daughter Vera Izora Downs/Ridoutt(Ridout?) coming into play between 1956-2001. Vera lived at Spring Lake (I think probably Ottawa Co. MI in 2001 when she died) Effie was in the Grand Haven hospital in 1956-1958 when I read the article she was saying that she would appreciate it if her local friends would call on her there. Effie Adelia Morse/Downs was born in 1884 and died on 4 May 1971 it states Grand Haven, Ottawa Co. MI. But since they lived most of their lives in Traverse City, MI I was hoping that maybe you might be able to help me locate at least Effie's grave some where there? I have looked on here until I am absolutely blue in the face and no one has listed her either as a Morse or a Downs. I have looked in the Ottawa Co. MI Find A Grave also and nothing comes up for her. I am at a road block and she is the only one left that I can't find a burial for. If by some chance you have any ideas that would help I am willing to listen. I know I might have to send for a death certificate for her but I know that I might not be able to get one because I had a very hard time getting her brother's even though I am a gr-grand niece of theirs. Seems to me that they have to be closer related or something. Otherwise they are saying it will take a court order! Yeah right like someone can really afford that! Anyway, please let me know your thoughts? Thanks,

Leona Wurm (St. Mary's, Hannah Cemetery) #: 53546240 is actually the aunt of my grandmother, and is the daughter of John and Phoebe (Ebare) Steinebach. She died in childbirth. I was wondering if there was any way to link Leona to her parents or to include this information in her memorial. Her surviving daughter was raised by John and Phoebe. Thanks for all your hard work! Thank you so much, you are quick! Can you tell me how I would go about adding pictures from Find A Grave to my Ancesty site? I think there is something about copyrights and I need permissions? We hope to take a quick trip to the Traverse City area to explore the Dixon & Cook history this spring. My great grandmother was a Dixon.

Hi Julie! Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. You have photo evidence, so this means you are correct. Oakwood was told to me from a researcher. You're an angel on earth! Many thanks! Rosalie
