Anna Marie was the daughter of Charles and Mildred Casady. Marie married Frank Petranovich on Feb 20, 1936. She and Frank lived in Oak Creek, Colorado until 1950 and then he joined relatives in Alaska. Marie and their daughter and son followed a year later.
In Alaska, Marie began working for the Matanuska Electric Association as a radio telephone operator. In 1962 she became their office manager which now made her Frank, her husband's, boss. This is a position that she retained until she retired in 1964.
She and Frank were known as "Snow Birds" as they spent winters in Arizonia. Then in 1967 they became World Travelers as they visited numerous foreign countries, Fuji, Australia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, China and New Zealand to mention a few.
