Services for JOSEPH O. ALLEN, 76, of Belle Center will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hilty-Swope Funeral home, Rev William Ervin officiating. Mr. Allen died 8:30 Sunday at his residence. Born March 27, 1884 in Hardin County, he was the son of William and Lydia Ansley Allen. He married Bessie Good in 1916 and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Stoner, and Mrs. James (Phillis) Matthews, both of Rt. 2; two sons, Joseph of Bellefontaine and William of Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Emma McAlexander of Belle Center and Mrs. C. N. (Lena) Corbet of Lakeview; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
