The son of William Ethan and Lydia Ella Ansley-Allen. He was united in marriage on March 13, 1902, to Nona Faires of Ridgeway and to this union one son, Donald, was born. For 18 years he was a salesman for the Packard Auto Co. in Detroit. His pleasant personality and sunny disposition won for him many friends wherever he lived. When a very young man he enlisted with the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Spanish-American War.
Brother of Mrs. Emma McAlexander and Lena Allen, both of Belle Center, OH; two brothers Joe Allen of New Richland and Starley J. Allen of DeGraff. He was preceeded in death by a sister, Mrs. Alice M. Bailey, on Dec. 5, 1907; his mother on May 9, 1927; his father on Dec. 3, 1927; and a brother, Charles Alva Allen, on Aug. 13, 1936.
