Fender, Nolia J., 93, of Coeur d'Alene, died Saturday, 7 Nov. 1981 in a local nursing home.
Born April 8, 1888, in Rhinard, Ill, she moved with her family six months later to Walla Walla, Wash. She attended school there and in Kendrick. She then moved to Prescott, Wash., where she worked in a mercantile store. She married Cliff M. Fender Oct. 18, 1911, in Walla Walla, and they moved in 1932 to Coeur d'Alene, where she had lived ever since. Her husband preceded her in death in 1964.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and of the Rachel group there.
She is survived by sons Cliff, of Coeur d'Alene, and Jack, of Roseburg, Ore. ; daughter Joy "Mrs. Ray" Dury, of Coeur d'Alene; brother Merton McGrew, of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters Mrs. Twila Bauer, of Gig Harbor, Wash., Mrs. Veva Ellis, of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Portia Barclay, of Shelton, Wash.; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Olive Bafus, in 1976.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Cemetery, with Rev. Alvin Aoesved officiating. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of arrangements.
