Born – 1921
GRAYSON – Edith N. Colley, 85, of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 20.
She was born November 6, 1921 in Bell County, a daughter of the late Albert and Doxie Miracle Parks and Maude Ballew from who raised her.
She was a former Grayson City Council Women, a member of the Republican Women's Club, Homemaker, and a former employee of Cook's Florist and Wilma's Dress Shop. She was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Colley and a granddaughter, Meshanna Donn Colley.
She is survived by one son, Don Colley of Grayson; a daughter, Donna Colley of Austin, TX; and a brother, Howard Ballew and a sister, Janet Ramsey both of Summersville, WV.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Kiser-McGinnis Cemetery.
When Doxie, Edith's mother died, the children were cared for by family and friends. I believe Maude Ballew must have been a friend of the family.
