Obituary-Mrs. Alice Craven Dies in Texas--(The following clipping was taken from a Waco, Texas paper. Mrs. Craven formerly lived here and will be remembered by any of the older people).
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Arthur Craven, 80, widow of the late Dr. A. R. Craven, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Asa Jenkins, 2725 Gorman Street, at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, will be held at Compton's Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dr. Walter Anthony officiating, interment in Oak Wood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be six grandsons, John Jenkins. Harry Battaile, Phil Craven, F. A. Craven, Jr., Clyde Craven, and Roland Webb.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jenkins of Waco, Mrs. C. R. Battaile and Mrs. J. C. Webb, both of Dallas; four sons, F. A. Craven, Joe Craven both of Waco, A. G. Craven of San Antonio and S. A. Craven of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. B. F. Craven of Waco and Mrs. J. J. Hodges of Springfield, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Craven, a native of Missouri, came to Texas 44 years ago and lived in McLennan County until her death.
